Serpent was a very important god both in ancient America and ancient Japanese civilization, 'Jomon.'

In ancient America, the serpents are described on the ceramics or the walls of the temples, but I think there must have been more symbolic expression. For example, pyramids and ball courts could be the symbol of the serpent.

On the other hand, in Jomon, the vessels themselves were the serpents. Which means, the serpent-like clay belts are surrounding the ceramic vessels.
