HATE

Carthage was a genius of trading and they rapidly conquered Mediterranean sea.
Greek and Rome terribly hated Carthage because

Carthage was better merchant.

Carthage was richer.

Carthage was defeated by Rome but still survived.

Especially, they were notorius for
the rite in which they killed children as sacred offerings.
It was not a unique rite in Carthage, but Greek and Rome found it as the main reason to hate Carthage.
