What's "sndmagic"?

"sndmagic" packageallows you to generate Magic Packet (TM) for PCs which network interface can recognize Magic Packet. Even if the PCs are powered off, network administrator can power them on remotely using Magic Packet. So, network administrator can manage PCs powered off! It's a Win32 application or an U*ix (HP-UX) application.

I (yumo) developed this package for HP OpenView Network Node Manager for Windows NT. But it works stand alone. And I hope it works on HP OpenView Network Node Manager for HP-UX. I already made sure it works on HP-UX 9.x stand alone.

Magic Packet is trademark of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. HP, HP-UX and HP OpenView Network Node Manager is trademark of Hewlett Packard company. Windows NT is trademark of Microsoft corporation.
