当然ビートルズのサージェント・ペッパーに収録されている曲名の事だろうけど、こういう用法は笑ってしまう。（元々そういう意味なのかな？）つまり
L.S.D等の強力な幻覚剤は初めて体験する人間にはどの様に作用するかがわからない。その為、いざ作用しだすと初体験者を極度の混乱に陥してしまう事がある。こんな時経験豊富な友達の『ちょっとした助け』が救いになることがよくある。ちなみにピッピーは
L.S.D.をやる時には、その環境そして仲間を選んだものだ。何故なら体験的にこの強力な幻覚剤のバッド・トリップの怖さを良く知っていたからだ。
共に 1st Album の1.2.曲のタイトル。
注釈の必要も無いだろうけど、Alen Ginsberg はビート詩人、Burroughs の友人として逃亡中の彼の作品の出版に協力したことでも有名。Timothy
Leary は L.S.D. test で有名な'60年代のカリスマ、Ash Ra Temel との競作 SEVEN UP は賛否両論あるだろうけど、わたしはサイケデリックの傑作だと思う。個人的に彼らがビートルズやジミヘンに並び称されているとうれしくなってしまう。
この名前にピンとくる人は随分すごいんじゃない？フランスのジャズ・ロック・バイオリニスト。正直いうとわたしも名前には覚えがあったのだけれども、調べてみると
Mothers of Invention や Mahavishnu Orchestra 等とも関係していたみたい・・・
ウームきっともっといい訳があるんだろうな。わたしとしては Vandroogenbroeck 氏が意図している Inner Wolrd と Universe
の用法が『メビウスの輪』的循環を意味しているように感じたので、この様に訳して見た。ご意見を乞う。
じゃあどこへ行ける切符なのかな？
或る日たまたま見つけたCDのタイトルが気になって、それで買っただけ・・・それだけで前知識も無いわたしが brainticket
の bio を書くよりは、先ずは現在メンバーの Lance 氏のサイトにある中心人物
Joel Vandroogenbroeck 氏の 記事を読んだ方が速い。というわけで Lance 氏の承諾を得てそれを訳してみることにした。以下がその原文とそのわたしの拙訳である。なお後で気づいたことだが、この原文は
Purple Pyramid から1997年に再発された Celestial Ocean のCDの中ジャケにも掲載されている。
Brainticket was founded in the legendary year of 1968 and could never really
be identified with any particular contemporary style.This because Brainticket never really was a steady group.The
concept was rather like a place,a vision,an experience in oneself, a voyage into the adventure of your own mind.These
ideas brought people to work together.
Brainticket は伝説的な年 1968年に結成され、そして未だまさに、現代のどのような特定のスタイルとも同一視されたことがない。これはまさに
Brainticket が本来固定したグループではなかった事に起因している。コンセプトはどちらかといえば、個人的な、場所、ビジョン、あるいは経験、そしてあなた自身の心の冒険へといざなう航海であり、これらのアイデアが人々を共同作業へと導いたのである。
At this point,music was the medium with which one could materialize and record many
experiences.Because of the hippie revolution and it's new paths of freedom,1968 was the right time to discover
the potentials of the mind."with
a little help from my friend",some people had wonderful mental experiences,but
some others had to live a trip through hell.Heaven and hell can be so close together sometimes.Some folks came
back enlightened,others never came back from their journey.Unfortunately there is always a price to pay.1968 was
a time of mind revolution,this prompted the idea of Brainticket:a ticket for a journey into your brain.(or let
your fantasies speak)

In BRAINTICKET 1,Cottonwood Hill was the place where it all happened,in your imagination.An
endless rock rhythm of obsession and a couple arguing all the time was the image of a quest for something new,destroy
the first (Brainticket) and search for a better world after.Open new doors for your psyche (Black Sand,Places of Light).On the cover was a warning
that said: 'after listening to this record,your friends won't know you anymore'.This record was banned in various
countries because of this mention (which did increase sales for the record company).The psychological tension was
so intense between us that the group split shortly after this first recording.Leaving of course,until today,all
the profits to the vampire record company of that time.
BRAINTICKET 1 において、Cottonwood Hill はあなたの想像力の中にある、その全てが起こった場所である。妄想と二者の常なる議論である、終わる事の無いロックのリズムは、何か新しいモノへの探索、第一者（Brainticket）を破壊し、そしてその後のより良い世界を捜し求めるイメージであった。キミの精神（黒い砂漠、輝ける場所）の為に新しいドアを開けよ。レコード・カバーには注意書きがある。『このレコードを聞いた後、キミの友達はキミのことがもうわからなくなってしまうだろう』
この言及のおかげでレコードはいろんな国で成果をあげた（レコード会社の売上を増した）が、この心理学的緊張は我々の間にあまりにも極端であったが為に、グループは
1st の後すぐに行程を離れ、そして今日まで、その時代の吸血レコード会社の全ての利益から離散した。
The teachings of Ginsberg,
Leary,the Beatles,Jimi Hendrix and all the other gurus of that time,brought
many different people together through psychological experiences.Here again surged another group of souls in the
quest,and spaced minds hungry to express themselves in music and art.BRAINTICKET PSYCHONAUT was actually a Swiss-Italian
experience of lost souls and individuals liberated from their tradition.New communities were born and therefore
new musical expressions arose.
Ginsberg の教え、Leary, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, そしてその時代の全てのグル達は、雑多な多くの人々を心理学的経験へと導いた。ここにまた探求の精神をもったまたひとつのグループが押し寄せた。そしてうつろなこころは音楽や芸術で彼ら自身を表現することに飢えている。
BRAINTICKET PSYCHONAUT はまさにスイスそしてイタリアの失われた精神、そして彼らの伝統から開放された個人の体験であった。新しい共同体が誕生し、それゆえに新しい表現が生じた。
After the chaos comes peace and realization:CELESTIAL OCEAN was probably the most
centered and mature Brainticket production of that time.This twenty five year old recording still shows it's poetry
and artistic beauty.Inspired by the Egyptian Book of the Dead,the thread is an Egyptian ship carrying a king and
queen,lead by Horus,on their journey through the afterlife universe.Their journey emerges from the sands of time,going
through the natural states of beings on Earth, passing through the pyramid of sciences and technologies,then entering
the universe of the space between.(this recording offers narrations in three different languages) It is again a
brain-ticket for a voyage in one's fantasy and imagination.BRAINTICKET is a concept more of a place than of a group,where
all musical tendencies can meet.Some of my greatest experiences were actually individual recordings that I finished,yet
never released.There was also a time when the group Brainticket was touring in Italy,together with the Jean Luc-Ponty group.(it
is a real pity that there were no recordings made during those tours)
混乱の後には平和と実態感が訪れる。CELESTIAL OCEAN はたぶんその時代のもっとも中心的、または熟成した Brainticket
の制作物であろう。この25年前の録音はしかしまだその詩的そして芸術的な美を見せている。『エジプトの死者の書』に啓蒙され、そのスレッドは王と妃を運ぶエジプトの船であり、ホルス神に導かれ、死後の世界の宇宙へと旅立つ。彼らの旅は時の砂漠から現われ、大地の上の存在達の自然ないとなみを通り過ぎ、技術と科学のピラミッドを通り過ぎ、そしてついに宇宙の中へと入り込んでいく。（この録音には3ヶ国語のナレーションを用いた）それは再度、個人の幻想と想像への航海への
brain-ticket である。BRAINTICKET はグループであること以上に重要なコンセプトであり、全ての音楽的意図はそれを満たしている。わたしのもっとも偉大な体験のいくつかは実はわたしの成した個人的な録音であるが、決してリリースされることはない。同様に
Brainticket がグループとしてJean Luc-Ponty グループと共に、イタリアをツアーしたことがある。（本当に残念なことにそれらのツアーの様子はなにも録音されていない）
There were encounters with various cultures like Balinese gamelan,Indian music,electronic,jazz
and pure improvisation (VOYAGE,ADVENTURE) All of this led through led us through sound adventures and musical dimensions
that are difficult to identify with known musical styles.Then again,this was precisely the idea of Brainticket.Brainticket
still lives,and who knows how the next musical experiences will emerge from the actual ocean of information,the
new media,encounters of the third kind and from the inner spirits of our minds!

As Pascal said:"what is
above is like below".We found the infinity of the universe within
ourselves.Human fantasy and imagination are endless!
パスカルが言ったように『より上とはより下のようなものだ』。我々は自身の中の宇宙に永遠性を発見した。人間のファンタジーと創造性に終りはない。
