Born in 1969 in Saitama, Japan, Yusuke Maeba studied the guitar with Toshihiro Kimura and Norihiko Watanabe. He won prizes in the 17th Guitar Concours in 1990, the 8th ABC Guitar Festival in 1990 and the 22nd Classical Guitar Competition in 1991.
