TOKYO GUITAR QUARTET
THE FIRST PROFESSIONAL GUITAR QUARTET
IN JAPAN
The Tokyo Guitar Quartet was founded in1995 by four young
talented guitarists. Although playing guitar quartets seems not so difficult
as generally thought, there are few who can play in a perfect ensemble and
produce real musical quality. In this sense, Tokyo Guitar Quartet is the
first professional guitar quartet in Japan, and they are expected to develop
this musical genre playing both original and arrangements works.
All the members are not only solo guitarists with brilliant careers, but
also experts of arrangement. Hirokazu Sato is a talented composer who is
writing works for guitar quartet, and also, they are commissioning new pieces
from other composers.
Tokyo Guitar Quartet will release the debut CD from Super Nova label in
the begining of 1997.
